Siemens subsidiary to service units of 2 power plants of Inter RAO
MOSCOW, Feb 28 (PRIME) -- Inter RAO Electric Power Plants, a unit of Russian power holding Inter RAO, has signed two long-term servicing contracts with Siemens Gas Turbine Technologies, a local unit of Germany’s Siemens, for servicing of two power plants of the company, Inter RAO Electric Power Plants said in a statement on Wednesday.
Siemens Gas Turbine Technologies will service new power units of the Verkhnetagilskaya GRES and Permskaya GRES power plants that were launched in the summer of 2017.
Nico Paetzold, CEO of the Siemens unit, said that the signing of long-term contracts is a step in the company’s strategy for localization at the Russian market.
“We will continue moving in this direction by developing services like restoration of turbine blades, the local implementation of which will be possible already in the spring and summer of 2018,” the company quoted Paetzold as saying.
